Fair Share is a term used to describe the individual amount that each family is asked to contribute to the Band Program. It is arrived at by taking the total amount budgeted for each program, and subtracting the amount expected to be earned through general fundraising. The difference is then divided amongst the number of students in the program and assessed as Fair Share.
The Fair Share number and payment schedule is usually released approximately a month prior to the start of the corresponding season.
June – Marching Band
November – Concert Band, Indoor Percussion, Winter Guard
Each family is asked to contribute their Fair Share via direct payment or fundraising. Payments can be accepted by way of check (made payable to SHSBB), cash, PayPal, or credit cards. If you choose to make your payment via PayPal, please remember that PayPal keeps 2.9% of each transaction, plus an additional $.30. In order to make the full Fair Share payment, please be sure to add this amount on top of your donation.
